Taking Responsibility - Your Choice!

If you sit down to read The Secret, the ultimate message is this: that you are responsible for designing your own life. From every choice you make - because everything you do, or do not do, is in itself the result of a choice.

Think about it. Whether to do that overdue task now, or leave it to Saturday morning, is a choice. And you will feel the impact - good or bad - at some point. The same goes with whether you further your studies, take that job. Or eat that doughnut. It's all about choice.

As my friend Jackey Backman puts it:

I create my own reality.

This statement, foundation of Jackey's personal development programme (9 Principles of Personal Power), is powerfully true and underlies every single self-development programme I've looked at.

Recognising it makes me able to take responsibility for my day - my mindset - from the moment I open my eyes: "How do I want to feel today? What do I want to experience? What do I want to receive?"

๐Ÿ‚ Autumn Glow-Up: Build Healthy Habits Before the Festive Rush

As the air turns crisp and the golden hues of autumn settle in, there’s something refreshing about this time of year. It’s not just a change in the weather — it’s a perfect opportunity for a personal reset . After the carefree days of summer, autumn invites us to slow down, refocus, and reconnect with our goals. Whether it’s eating better, moving more, or simply taking better care of yourself, this is the season to build the habits that will carry you confidently into the busy months ahead. ๐Ÿ Why Autumn is the Perfect Time to Start The festive season has a way of sneaking up on us — with celebrations, social gatherings, and endless trays of tempting treats. By starting now, you give yourself time to strengthen your habits before the season of indulgence begins. Healthy routines don’t form overnight. They take small, consistent actions — a better breakfast, an evening walk, or a decision to slow down before you reach for seconds. Building those habits now means you’ll be bet...

Day One - It's all about Mindset!

My Fit N Chill journey began some years ago, when I began to work on my weight loss. I had become bloated and weighed at least 15 kg more than my desired weight.  I was also on a whole load of toxic patterns, become involved in a number of toxic situations that were no longer serving me. It took a few years to actually have the courage to realise the toxicity which was affecting my health. And ultimately, my wellness. I was in an awful state all-round. A painful break up triggered work on my mindset. It was not some namby-pamby journey but true self-development.  I did work on Mindvalley and with Jackey Backman , two powerful resources that helped me push through, not only grief, but the release of what no longer served me.  Months later, I left a job that was mostly causing me grief - and refashioned what was left into friendship. All the while, I used all the skills I had - and all that was available to me online - to be able to move forward.  I even attended...

๐ŸŽฏ Weight Loss Goal-Setting: Start Smart, Go Far

Healthy Vibes. Chilled Lives. “You can’t hit a target you can’t see. And you can’t see a target you don’t have.” – Jim Rohn When it comes to weight loss, the first step isn’t the gym or the shake — it’s a clear, realistic goal. Not a crash diet. Not perfection. But a sustainable plan that fits your life. ✨ Here's how I coach my Fit 'N' Chill tribe: ✅ 1. Start with WHY Don’t just say “I want to lose weight.” Ask: Why? How do I want to feel? What will this change unlock for me? ๐Ÿชด 2. Make it Sustainable Any goal that doesn’t fit your lifestyle won’t last. We don’t do burnout here — we do balance . Small shifts. Long-term wins. ๐Ÿงฉ 3. Break It Down Big dream? YES. But start with: 3 workouts this week Swapping 1 meal for a shake Drinking more water Losing 1–2kg, not 10 overnight The first few wins matter the most — they build momentum and boost belief. Celebrate those! ๐Ÿ† 4. Reward Progress (Not Just Results) Track your wins. Feel good abo...
